It is my mission to provide quality assessment and intervention services tailored to your needs or those of your family. To maintain the highest standards of care, my practice utilizes evidence-based treatment approaches supported by the current research literature in this field. My mission further includes a strong commitment to the community where our children live and grow. Therefore, I am an advocate for state and national laws that protect equal access to mental health care, promote the advancement of the field, and support the needs of women, children, minorities, and underserved populations.

I am a therapist who integrates cognitive-behavioral techniques and systems theories into my clinical treatment of children, adolescents, and college students. I have received doctoral training in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents, with clinical placements in pediatric hospitals, community mental health centers, counseling centers, and private practice settings. Because I greatly value interdisciplinary work, I always strive for successful collaboration with social workers, physicians, and educators in the provision of holistic behavioral healthcare for my clients. With a deep appreciation for the family system I partner with the important people in a child's life who often influence and affect their behavior through modeling and other relational processes. By providing concrete parenting strategies that increase self-efficacy, I aim to reduce disruptive behaviors and improve parent-child relationships.
In addition to my general child clinical practice, I have specialized training in trauma/abuse and behavioral sleep medicine. With national certification in the delivery of trauma-focused CBT (TF-CBT), I work with victims of childhood physical and sexual abuse, providing sensitive and evidence-based treatment to reduce symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and promote healing and recovery. I additionally have specialized clinical and research training in behavioral sleep medicine and provide specific interventions to reduce sleep disturbances and improve daytime functioning for children, adolescents and college students.
In my work with college students, I provide cognitive-behavioral interventions to address mood and anxiety symptoms, improve academic functioning, and enhance coping skills. I often operate from a feministic perspective, with the goals of empowerment, increasing self-esteem, and healthy boundary development.
